Our Farm
Urban Buddy Farm is a small, family-run farm of ten gentle acres at Deception Bay, in the Moreton Bay region just north of Brisbane. We are, first and last, a home for animals: a place where our Highland cows graze alongside horses, miniature goats, pigs, ducks and chickens who have the run of the land.
Visitors come to be near them. To lean on a gate at dusk, to feel a soft muzzle in an open palm, to remember what a quiet afternoon feels like. Everything else here is simply in service of that.
We are a short drive from North Lakes, Redcliffe, Kallangur and Narangba, with room to park on the property.

Highland Cows · Mumma & Hamish
Mumma and her calf Hamish are the soul of the farm: russet, hornless and astonishingly gentle under all that fringe, with a calm that turns first-time visitors into lifelong admirers.
Newest Arrival
Our newest Highlander. Moodini is working out that people mean scratches and food rather than trouble, so for now he keeps a polite distance.
The Stables
A handful of steady, soft-natured horses (Mikey, Willow and others), plus Stormy our one little pony, who wander the lower paddocks and greet you at the fence.
The Duck Den
A comical, well-fed bunch who potter around the garden all day long.
The Hill
Our miniature goats: entirely shameless, and the resident mischief-makers of the farm.
The Coop
Our hens and roosters scratch about the coop and yard all day, always first to announce a visitor.

Each visit is a private session, so your time is unhurried and entirely yours. Meet a favourite, say hello to the whole farmyard, or grab an annual pass and drop in all year.
Highland Cows
Slow, gentle time with Mumma and her calf Hamish: brush them down, feed them by hand. $150 for 1–4 people, for a full hour.

Session lengths are a guide. Children under 3 visit free, and all children must be accompanied by a paying adult. For the health and wellbeing of our horses, riders need to be under 100kg. Final times and pricing are confirmed when you book.

Gourmet Smashed Burgers
A vintage van parked beside the paddock, serving breakfast and lunch: Turkish breads, burgers, dino nuggets and loaded chips. The perfect stop before the drive home, or a second loop of the farm.
