Farm School
Hands-on farm days for homeschooling families, three days a week, right through the year. Little ranchers help feed and groom the animals, spend time with the horses and pitch in with the everyday jobs that keep a small farm running.
Farm School runs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, so please pick one of those dates when you book.
What a day looks like
With the horses
Supervised riding, pony grooming and the daily business of horse care. Children learn how to be calm and useful around a big animal, which is most of the skill.
Around the farm
Feeding rounds, time with the Highland cows, and the jobs that have to happen whether anyone feels like it or not. Nature play and games fill the gaps.
Around the fire
Campfires and marshmallow roasting, weather permitting. It is the part most of them talk about on the way home.
Who it suits
Built for homeschooling families who want a regular day out of the house with something real to do. Ages 6 to 16, mixed together, older ones usually end up helping the younger ones.

Where we are
Ten acres at 165 Bancroft Terrace, Deception Bay, in the Moreton Bay region. We are a short drive from North Lakes, Redcliffe, Kallangur and Narangba, and an easy run up the highway from Brisbane's northern suburbs. There is room to park on the property.
