Three Nights On The Farm
Little Ranchers
Overnight Retreat
Three nights in a bell tent, for older children ready to sleep away from home. The days run like a Farm School day, with horses, Highland cows, feeding rounds and nature play. Then everyone stays on for the evening as well.
The date you choose on the booking calendar is the first night of the three. Numbers are kept small on purpose, so a retreat fills with only a handful of bookings.
How the three nights run
In the bell tents
Everyone sleeps out in the tents rather than indoors. It tends to be the part they are nervous about beforehand and pleased about afterwards.
The days
The same as a Farm School day. Supervised riding, pony grooming and horse care, time with the Highland cows, feeding rounds, games and nature play.
The evenings
Campfires and marshmallows, a movie outside, and hot chocolate before bed. This is where most of the friendships get made.
Who it suits
Ages 8 to 16, and a first stretch away from home for a fair few of them. Groups stay small so nobody disappears into the crowd.
The practical bits
Where we are
Ten acres at 165 Bancroft Terrace, Deception Bay, in the Moreton Bay region. We are a short drive from North Lakes, Redcliffe, Kallangur and Narangba, and an easy run up the highway from Brisbane's northern suburbs. There is room to park on the property for drop-off and pick-up.

If three nights feels like a lot for a first go, Farm School runs as a single day any day of the week. Plenty of families start there.
